Ingredients
- 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour
- 1/2 cup oats, finely ground
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup buttery spread
- 2-3 tablespoons water, very cold
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, ground oats, sugar, and salt.
- Combine buttery spread until mixture is crumbly.
- Sprinkle with water, and blend together with a fork until mixture holds together.
- Shape dough into ball, and place on sheet of lightly floured wax paper. Top with second sheet of wax paper, and roll out dough to 1/8 inch thickness. Place in pie shell and shape into a crust.
- Add preferred pie filling and finish according to pie baking directions.
