Soft Granola Bars

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup brown sugar
  2. 1 cup vegetable oil
  3. 1/4 cup egg mix combined with 1/2 cup water
  4. 2 cups oats
  5. 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  6. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  7. 1 cup peanuts
  8. 1 cup raisins
  9. 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
  10. 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  11. 1/4 cup honey

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°
  1. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, vegetable oil and egg mixture. Stir until smooth.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients, except honey.
  3. Spread mixture into a 9 x 13 inch pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. 
  4. Bake 17-22 minutes or until done.
  5. In a small saucepan over medium heat, cook honey until heated through, stirring constantly. Drizzle honey on top of granola bars.
To reduce fat, substitute 1/2 cup applesauce for 1/2 cup oil.
