Peanut Butter Breakfast Bread

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cups flour
  2. 6 tablespoons sugar
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  4. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  5. 1/2 cup peanut butter
  6. 2 tablespoons egg mix combined with 1/4 cup water
  7. 3/4 cup skim or one percent milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°
  1. Spray a 9 X 3 X 5 inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in peanut butter with a fork. Add beaten egg mixture and milk; stir just enough to moisten dry ingredients. Pour into prepared pan.
  4. Bake 60 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
Try a slice for snacking or sandwiches. It makes yummy french toast.
