Ingredients
- 3 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (may substitute lime juice)
- 1 large ripe tomato, cored and finely diced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 large garlic clove, crushed, peeled and minced
- 1 fresh jalapeno, minced
- black pepper to taste
Directions
- Place the avocado flesh in a bowl and mash with a fork.
- Add lime or lemon juice, tomato, onion, garlic and jalapeno pepper; mix well.
- Cover and chill until ready to serve.
You can substitute a 4-oz can chopped green chilies for the jalapeno if you don't want it as hot.
