Ingredients
- 1 pound bison, ground
- 2 (4 oz) cans green chilies, diced, drained
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Place bison, green chilies and pepper in a medium bowl.
- Gently combine without over mixing.
- Form mixture into 4 patties about 3/4 inch thick.
- Grill the burgers, turning once, 4-5 minutes per side or until no longer pink.
Top with onion and lettuce for a delicious burger, and use a whole grain bun to add extra fiber.
Use bread crumbs, oatmeal or crackers as a filler for the meat mixture.
