Grapes Jubilee

Ingredients

  1. 1/3 cup sugar
  2. 1 3/4 teaspoons cornstarch
  3. 1 cup cold water
  4. 3 cups red, seedless grapes
  5. 1/4 cup grated orange rind

Directions

  1. Combine sugar and cornstarch in a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir in water.
  3. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring often until mixture comes to a full boil.
  4. Add grapes and boil briskly for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add orange rind and boil 1 minute.
  6. Serve over ice cream or angel food cake.
