Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh sweet cherries, pitted
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup skim or one percent milk
- 1/4 cup egg mix combined with 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons buttery spread, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°
- Spoon cherries into a 1 1/2-quart shallow baking dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a bowl, combine granulated sugar, milk, egg mixture, flour, buttery spread and vanilla extract. Stir until ingredients are blended.
- Pour batter over cherries; sprinkle with peanuts.
- Bake uncovered until top is golden and knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 35-40 minutes.
Make sure you get all the pits out of the cherries before cooking.
