Fresh Cherry Crisp

Ingredients

  1. 4 cups fresh sweet cherries, pitted
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 cup skim or one percent milk
  4. 1/4 cup egg mix combined with 1/2 cup water
  5. 2 tablespoons flour
  6. 2 tablespoons buttery spread, melted
  7. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  8. 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°
  1. Spoon cherries into a 1 1/2-quart shallow baking dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. 
  2. In a bowl, combine granulated sugar, milk, egg mixture, flour, buttery spread and vanilla extract. Stir until ingredients are blended.
  3. Pour batter over cherries; sprinkle with peanuts.
  4. Bake uncovered until top is golden and knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 35-40 minutes.
Make sure you get all the pits out of the cherries before cooking.
