Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 can hominy, low sodium, drained
- 1 can diced tomatoes, low sodium
- 1 Tablespoon chili powder
- 2 Tablespoons flour
- 1 cup cheese, grated
- pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion until cooked thoroughly. Drain well and rinse ground beef.
- Stir in tomatoes (including juice), drained hominy, chili powder, flour and pepper. Mix well.
- Pour mixture into a 2-quart, oven-safe baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Top with cheese and continue baking for 5 minutes or until cheese has melted.
This hot filling dish will soon be a staple with the family.
