Baked Apple Oatmeal

Ingredients

  1. 4 cups skim or one percent milk
  2. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  3. 2 teaspoons buttery spread
  4. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  5. 2 cups oats
  6. 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  7. 1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
  8. 1/2 cup raisins
  9. 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°
  1. In a sauce pan, heat milk, brown sugar, buttery spread and cinnamon.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, mix gently.
  3. Spoon into a 2-quart casserole dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
When heating milk in a saucepan, splash the pan first with cold water to help keep the milk from scorching.
