Ingredients
- 4 cups skim or one percent milk
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons buttery spread
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups oats
- 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°
- In a sauce pan, heat milk, brown sugar, buttery spread and cinnamon.
- Add remaining ingredients, mix gently.
- Spoon into a 2-quart casserole dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
When heating milk in a saucepan, splash the pan first with cold water to help keep the milk from scorching.
