Autumn Fruit Streusel

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups corn flakes cereal
  2. 1 cup flour
  3. 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  4. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  5. 1/2 cup buttery spread
  6. 6 cups (12 pears) fresh pears, cored, peeled
  7. 1 cup cranberries
  8. 1/4 cup honey
  9. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 425°
 
  1. Slice pears into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  2. Mix cereal, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Slightly crush mixture, then add buttery spread. Mix until crumbly.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss together pears, cranberries, honey and lemon juice until honey dissolves.
  5. Spoon into an 11 x 17 inch baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle with cereal mixture.
  7. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Substitute fresh, pitted cherries for cranberries when in season.
