Ingredients
- 2 cups corn flakes cereal
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup buttery spread
- 6 cups (12 pears) fresh pears, cored, peeled
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
Preheat oven to 425°
- Slice pears into 1/4 inch thick slices.
- Mix cereal, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Slightly crush mixture, then add buttery spread. Mix until crumbly.
- In a separate bowl, toss together pears, cranberries, honey and lemon juice until honey dissolves.
- Spoon into an 11 x 17 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with cereal mixture.
- Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Substitute fresh, pitted cherries for cranberries when in season.
