Q:  Do you have any favorite memories of cultural foods?
A:  I grew up eating pashofa and grape dumplings made by my mom.

Q:  What's the worst thing you've ever cooked, and why did it flop?
A:  Banana nut bread.  I forgot to put sugar in it.  I took it to a family reunion, and no one ate it!  My kids still remind me about the sugar whenever I make it now.

Q:  What is the most important lesson you've taught your children?
A:  Respect.  I think this is a very important thing to learn and give to others.

Q:  What's your best memory in the kitchen?
A:  The first time I let my son, Brian, cook pancakes by himself as my daughter, Cherokee, and I watched.

A:  It makes me happy to be able to provide nutritious meals for my family and watch them grow!

Q:  Do you have any recent victories when it comes to health?
A:  I've lost some weight.

Q:  What's the funniest moment you've had in the kitchen with family or friends?
A:  My little girl kept mistaking the evaporated milk for applesauce.  It was a "had to be there" moment.

A:  Peach Cobbler

A:  It is a pleasure.  I love it when I can feed my whole family.

Q:  What's the worst thing you've ever cooked?
A:  My biggest flop was the first batch of jelly I tried to make.

Q:  What is the most important lesson your children or grandchildren have learned from you?
A:  To serve our country and love your family.  I have a son in Afghanistan who loves this country.

Q:  What's your best memory in the kitchen? 
A:  Cooking a Thanksgiving dinner for over 100 people.  I love to cook!

A:  I've been able to maintain my weight and have been eating more fruits and vegetables.

A:  I feel fulfilled and happy knowing that I'm doing what I'm supposed to do as a mom.

A:  Pudding with the shaker method.  I shook the box instead of putting the mix in a shaker.

A:  Chili and snacks at church.

A:  Getting together for meals as a family.

Q:  What are your best memories of being in the kitchen?
A:  Cooking side-by-side with Gran and Mama.  I still have the apron Gran got me when I was 3 years old.

A:  It's a way to express the love I have for my family.

Q:  Do you have any recent victories when it comes to health?
A:  I have fibromyalgia, but I'm having success in fighting it by eating healthier.

Q:  What's your funniest moment in the kitchen with family or friends?
A:  When I was younger, Mama wasn't feeling good, so I had to cook.   I can't remember exactly what it was that I cooked, but my family remembers me setting the table and lighting the candles.  Dad came home and wanted to know who was coming to dinner.  Mama said, "you dear!"
