Green Chile Grilled Bison Burger

  1. 1 pound bison, ground
  2. 2 (4 oz) cans green chilies, diced, drained
  3. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place bison, green chilies and pepper in a medium bowl.
  3. Gently combine without over mixing.
  4. Form mixture into 4 patties about 3/4 inch thick.
  5. Grill the burgers, turning once, 4-5 minutes per side or until no longer pink.
Top with onion and lettuce for a delicious burger, and use a whole grain bun to add extra fiber.

Use bread crumbs, oatmeal or crackers as a filler for the meat mixture.
